Haridwar
Vacanza Go's home city — the gateway to the Char Dham and one of seven sacred Hindu cities. Where the Ganga emerges from the Himalaya.
Haridwar is where the Ganga leaves the Himalayan foothills and enters the northern plains — a city continuously inhabited since at least the 1st century BCE, mentioned by Chinese pilgrim-monk Xuanzang in 629 CE.
We’ve been based here since founding Vacanza Go in 2016. Our office in Sharvan Nath Nagar is a 10-minute drive from Har-ki-Pauri, the ghat where the evening Ganga Aarti happens. If you’re planning a Char Dham yatra with us, you’ll start and end in Haridwar — and we typically build in a half-day for the Aarti, regardless of pilgrimage plans.
For most of our customers, Haridwar is the starting point for a longer Uttarakhand trip: Char Dham yatra, the Rishikesh circuit, or the Kumaun region (Nainital, Kainchi Dham, Adi Kailash).
