Adi Kailash & Om Parvat Yatra
The Indian Kailash — no foreign permits needed.
Adi Kailash and Om Parvat — both in Uttarakhand’s Pithoragarh district — together form a 7-9 day pilgrimage that delivers darshan of two of the most sacred mountains in Hindu tradition, without requiring the Chinese visa, border crossing or extreme altitude management of the Tibet Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.
Since the Lipulekh road was extended to Gunji and Kuti in 2020, most of the route is now driveable. From the Nabhidhang viewpoint near the China border, you’ll see Om Parvat — the natural snow formation of the syllable ‘ॐ’. From the Jolingkong camp, you’ll see Adi Kailash itself.
This is a high-altitude trip with Inner Line Permits and basic acclimatisation requirements. We run it April-October only and provide a custom quote based on your group size and dates — WhatsApp us for current pricing.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the Tibet Kailash Mansarovar Yatra?
Adi Kailash is in India (Uttarakhand) — no Chinese visa, no border crossing, significantly more affordable. Mt Kailash itself is sacred to all four traditions, and Hindu scripture treats Adi Kailash (Chhota Kailash) as equally sacred. Suitable for pilgrims who can't undertake the Tibet yatra.
Is the road accessible?
Yes — the Lipulekh road has been pushed all the way to Gunji and beyond since 2020. Most of the route is now driveable by SUV. A short trek (or pony) at Adi Kailash is the only foot-section.
Can I combine it with Char Dham?
Yes, often — many of our pilgrim guests do Char Dham (May-June) followed by Adi Kailash (July-Sept). We'd build a combined custom itinerary on request.
