Char Dham / Do Dham Yatra
The four-shrine pilgrimage, done with care.
Char Dham — the four-shrine yatra to Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath and Badrinath — is the most sacred pilgrimage circuit in Hindu tradition. Vacanza Go has been running these yatras from our Haridwar office since 2016, and Tamal personally leads several groups every season.
Our standard road yatra is 11 days at a pace that respects altitude, recovery, and the realities of Garhwal Himalaya weather. We handle every administrative detail you’d normally worry about — mandatory Char Dham registration, special darshan tickets where applicable, pony bookings at Kedarnath, helicopter coordination if you choose to upgrade.
If your time is shorter or this is a first trip into Garhwal, the Do Dham (Kedarnath + Badrinath) package compresses the experience into 5–6 days while still delivering the two most physically demanding shrines.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
What's the difference between Char Dham and Do Dham?
Char Dham covers all four shrines — Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, Badrinath. Do Dham covers two (typically Kedarnath + Badrinath) and is recommended if you have less time or want to avoid the Yamunotri/Gangotri treks.
How fit do I need to be?
Yamunotri (6 km trek) and Kedarnath (16 km trek) are physical. Both can be done by pony, palki or helicopter — we routinely run groups with travellers in their 70s. Gangotri and Badrinath are reachable by road.
When is Char Dham Yatra open?
Doors open on Akshaya Tritiya (late April / early May) and close around Diwali (October–November). May–June and September–October are the most popular months. Avoid July–August due to monsoon landslides.
Is the helicopter included?
No — helicopter to Kedarnath is booked separately. We assist with booking through DGCA-licensed operators (Pawan Hans, Heritage Aviation, Aryan).
