Vaishno Devi — the 12 km yatra to the Mata’s shrine at Trikuta hills — is one of India’s most-visited pilgrimage sites, with 8-10 million yatris a year. The shrine is at 5,200 ft and reached from Katra base camp via trek, pony, palki, or helicopter (to Sanjichhat).

For most yatris, the trip is 3-4 days: train or fly into Jammu, road transfer to Katra, the yatra itself (overnight at Katra for early-morning darshan), and the return. Bhairon Temple at the top is the traditional second darshan — many take the ropeway from Sanjichhat.

We handle yatra registration (RFID slip), hotel booking at Katra, and helicopter pre-booking where chosen. Quick yatras or combined itineraries with Amritsar / Kashmir / Patnitop work — WhatsApp us for a tailored quote.

Questions

Frequently asked questions

Trek, pony, or helicopter?

Trek (12 km each way) is the traditional route. Pony / palki costs ₹500-2,000 each way. Helicopter (Sanjichhat round-trip) is ₹3,500-4,500 and takes ~8 minutes — bookable in advance only. We help you pick based on age, fitness and budget.

Can I combine with Amritsar / Golden Temple?

Yes — Amritsar is 5 hours from Jammu. We routinely build combined Vaishno Devi + Golden Temple itineraries (5-6 days from Delhi).
